Sham dedicates Rs. 72 lakh PHC bldg to people at Badyal Brahmana | Work on Super Specialty hospital in full swing: Chib | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 9: Pushing forward the process of health infrastructure across the State, Minister for Health, Horticulture & Floriculture Sham Lal Sharma dedicated newly constructed building of Primary Health Centre (PHC) to the people of Badyal Brahmna -R.S.Pura, here today. This new type PHC building has been constructed over a plinth area of 3738 sft by the J&K Housing Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs. 71.85 lakh and would benefit over 50,000 populations of several border villages of R.S.Pura. Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services & Sports, R.S.Chib, MLA Suchetgarh Ch. Sham Lal, former Minister and MLA Ch. Gharu Ram, NC leader S. Taranjeet Singh Toni, President J&K Cooperative Societies, Rajesh Bittu and local Sarpanchs, Om Parkash and Tarsem Lal Sharma were also attended inaugural ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Coalition Government after taking over the reign of the State focused on the infrastructural development of two core sectors namely, health and education and during the first half of the tenure a massive development has taken in these two sectors. The construction of PHC building at Badyal Brahamna is also part of the on-going process, he added. Greeting the people for getting the gift of new hospital building on the occasion of New Year, the Minister said that the hospital will have 24 hour services with all diagnostic facilities. He said it is endeavor of the Government to ensure this basic facility to the people of rural areas. He announced ambulance for the PHC and engagement of one of the member of the family in the hospital, who donated the land for the purpose. He appreciated the gesture of one Makhan Lal who donated a fertile chunk of land in the village for construction of PHC. Regarding the scenario of health facilities in the other parts of R.S.Pura, the Minister said that 100-bed Sub-District Health building at R.SPura is coming up at an estimated cost of Rs. 16 crore, PHC building at Rathana is almost complete, work on new building of SDH, Bishnah is in full swing and 10-bedded ward will be constructed at Satrian at the earliest to augment the health facilities for the people of border areas. He asked Sarpanchs, Panchs to monitor the punctuality of health institutions in their areas to ensure the work culture and accountability of employees. He said Government has conferred the responsibility on the panchayat functionaries to supervise and monitor the basic services in the rural areas so that the people get the improved and uninterrupted services. He asked them to help in proper upkeep of all the health institutions in the area and maintaining close coordination with the BMO to ensure best services. |
