| Mufti condoles Justice Bhat's demise | | |

Jammu, Jan 9: Former Chief Minister and patron of Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has expressed condolence over the sad demise of former Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court Moti Lal Bhat, who died today at Delhi. In a statement issued here today, Mufti Sayeed paid his condolence and solidarity to the bereaved family. Mufti recalled his association with Moti Lal Bhat, who was legal luminary. Mufti prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Justice Bhat breathed his last at the AIIMS where he was undergoing treatment for the past fortnight. He was 80. Before being elevated to the post of Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, he served as the judge of Jammu and Kashmir High Court. |
