Only 2 PoK guests arrive, 5 from here cross over to other side | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Jan 9 : Only two fresh guests from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) arrived here this afternoon while five Kashmiris crossed over to the other side of the Line of Control (LoC). As many as 12 returnees also crossed sides in the Karvan-e-Aman bus operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of PoK, at Kaman Post, the last Indian Military post near Aman Setu, peace bridge in Uri sector. Official sources said here this afternoon that two PoK guests arrived in valley, where life remained affected due to heavy snowfall and minus temperature. They said the number of guests from PoK has come down because of winter in the valley. In the last bus on January 2, there was no PoK guest in the bus. Nine Kashmiris also returned to their homes after completing stay in PoK with their relatives, separated in 1947. Five residents of the Valley, including two women, crossed over to the other side of LoC to meet their relatives. Three residents of PoK also returned to their homes after completing stay here, they added. |
