Political reservation to exiled community demanded | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 9: In a meeting of the prominent persons of Kashmiri Pandit Community held under chairmanship of Bharat Bhushan Bhat Gosani endorsed the demand of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference with regard to the Ministerial berth for Kashmiri Pandits in the State Cabinet as well as reservation of seats in the State Assembly and State Council. Addressing the meeting, the participants pointed out that the community is struggling with its survival and is faced with a multiple of problems in terms of its day to day and their alleviation requires a complete understanding of the situation. "This can be accomplished by the representatives amongst the community they added. The participants appealed the Chief Minister to meet the demand in order to create a bridge between the community and the government for a harmonious relation and subsequent amelioration of the sufferings of the displaced community. Those who participated in the meeting included Ravi Raina, B.K. Wantoo, S.K. Jalali, Abhinav Bhat M.L. Mattoo, Ramanji Koul, R.L. Tickoo and others. |
