CM utterly failed during his 3 years' tenure: JSM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 9: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) has expressed its dissatisfaction over the performance of Omar Abdullah as Chief Minister of J&K state during the 3 years of his tenure. In a meeting of JSM held under the chairmanship of its president Prof Virender Gupta, the members said that Chief Minister has utterly failed in his performance. Instead of addressing the genuine problems of the people he took satisfaction in raising controversies, indulging in mis-adventure, delivering fascinating speeches with no after action and engaging in ribbon cutting. They said that the corruption reached its heights and the miseries of common man increased manifolds. He was unable to control the violence and some times his own actions and utterance provoked the violence. The death of 120 persons in a month is a serious blot on his government and his style of functioning. Though number of times the Chief Minister and his colleague in the cabinet boasted of giving equal treatment to all the regions of the state, but during the last three years people of Jammu region witnessed extreme discrimination in all spheres, including employment, development and allocation of funds. The Chief Minister behaved in an extremely partial manner as if he is the Chief Minister of Kashmir Valley alone, not of the whole state. Jammu State Morcha demanded that he should relinquish the office and give a way to a person of Jammu region to occupy the chair of Chief Minister for further three years. |
