RS XI drubs KCC Katra by 8 wkts in Reasi Cup | | |  Early Times report
JAMMU, Jan 9: Reasi Sunderbani (RS) XI thrashed Katra Cricket Club (KCC), Katra by 8 wickets in a one-sided contest to advance into the next round of the Reasi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organised by Reasi Cricket Club in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police Reasi at Sports Stadium, Reasi. Winning the toss and batting first, KCC Katra collapsed at a meagre total of 77 runs in 18.2 as they failed to face the rival bowlers, who bowled with a decent line and length. Vikas (18), Chetan (14) and Minikel (12) were the main contributors. For RS XI, Yogesh took 3 wickets, while Anirudh and Manna claimed 2 wickets each. RS XI, in reply chased the target in just 7 overs by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match easily by 8 wickets. Kali made power-packed 35 runs in just 13 balls including 7 boundaries and a six, while Vishu and Manik contributed 23 and 17 runs to the total respectively. Vishu hit 3 fours and a six in his brief knock, while Manik smashed 4 boundaries in his innings. For KCC Katra, Amir claimed one wicket. The match was officiated by Sachin Singh, Palwinder Singh as umpires, while Veeru Raja was the scorer and Madan Thakur as commentator, while the tournament is being organised under the supervision of Nadeem, chairman organizing committee, Vikas Sharma and Vikas Baru. MCC Reasi will take on UCC Udhampur in the next match tomorrow. |
