| NPSU protests search committee for VC JU | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 9: National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) held a protest demonstration against the search committee constituted for the appointment of new Vice Chancellor of Jammu University.
The protest was held under the leadership of Vikram Partap Singh (Provincial Secretary, NPSU).
Addressing the media persons, Vikram Partap Singh said that there are lot of educated persons in Jammu which are eligible for the post of Vice Chancellor of Jammu University. On the other hand in Kashmir University and Kashmir Centre-University there are local Vice Chancellors. He also said that Government is always ignoring the sentiment of Jammu people and also ignoring the eligibility of deserving and capable educated persons and trying to dominate them as well. He demanded that new incumbent to the post of Vice Chancellor should be from Jammu region. |
