Left out aspirants allege irregularities in teachers' selection list | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Jan 9: Only after six days of its declaration, fingers of suspicion and doubts are being raised over the selection list of teachers for Rajouri district as people alleged irregularities in the procedure of viva. Locals alleged a huge political interference and pick-n-choose policy during viva screening of candidates for the post of Govt teachers for district cadre Rajouri. If locals and dropped out candidates are to be believed, a majority of those candidates have been selected who did not deserve but due to higher bureaucracy and political support behind them, they are now govt teachers and deserving candidates are watching each other's face. They also said that political interference, bureaucracy pressure and pick-n-choose policy during viva screening has resulted in total up down in the teachers selection. In addition, they also said that some candidates having political or officer level support with them have obtained 17+ marks in Viva and only because of these marks their names are in selection list. Some unselected candidates and locals wishing anonymity told Early Times that the members of Viva committee have followed pick-n-choose policy and have given max marks to knowing candidates. Yesterday a number of non-selected candidates organised a meeting here in Rajouri and showed resentment towards the selection procedure. They have also decided to knock the door of Court and to file a petition against the biased selection process. |
