EJAC projects employees demand

Jammu, Jan 9: Continuing their struggle for employees right, the trade unionists of under the banner of Employees Joint Action Committee J&K (EJAC) in a meeting highlighted their demands and also condemned the police action against the PDD daily wagers.
during the meeting the members reiterated their demands like arrears of 6th Pay Commission may be paid in cash in two installments, Regularization of Daily Wagers in all departments especially in PDD engaged after 01-01-1994, Pay anomalies of different cadres of clerks, Police, RDD, Fisheries and other Field workers be removed and benefits of 6th Pay Commission III favour of public sectors employees may be released other demands highlighted during this meeting were financial assistants to sick Public Sector Corporations, Withdrawal of GP Fund procedure needs reconsideration as the present procedure is problematic for employees, Change of designation of helpers in different departments and providing of service recruitment rules, Regularization of all Adhoc, Contractual and Daily wagers, Medi-claim policy for employees, in time salary be sanctioned in favour of Anganwari workers and Fair Price Shop Dealers of Food and Supplies who work on commission basis and enhancement of commission at three times till their regularization and Risk allowance for the departments like Forest, Health and Electric Department be sanctioned.
members also condemned the police action on daily wagers of PDD and decided to support the daily wagers.
Prominent trade unionists who spoke in this meeting included Ajaz Ahmed Khan, Subash Verma, Shabir Ahmed Langoo, Pardeep Sharma, Khalid Mehmood Khan, Suresh Sharma, Ishtiaq Beigh, Sushi! Sudan, Malik Gulam Hassan and PS Chib and others.
Meanwhile members also decided to hold protest demonstration in front of Offices of Divisional Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir in support of employees demands.
