| PDP (N) condemns Niyaz’s suspension | | | JAMMU | JAN 14
The senior leaders of PDP (Nationalist) in a joint statement have condemned the uncalled for suspension of DIG, Niyaz Mehmood.
According to a press release, Secretary general of the party G.S. Bijral, Vice President Ranbir Singh Manga, Gen. Secretary, Vikram Sabharwal and state secretary Ved Gandhotra described the suspension of DIG by Govt. as arbitrary.
The leaders have said that the process of recruitment of constables is transparent, impartial, unbiased and time tested. The leaders lamented the knee jerk reaction of the government, which can adversely affect the morale of police..
Bijral further cautioned the government to immediately take the remedial steps lest the situation snow bolls into a controversy and gives wrong signals to the police force. He applied to the Chief Minister Gulam Nabi Azad to undo the wrong done to the said official.
