| MCC Reasi scripts narrow win over UCC Udhampur | | Reasi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament 2012 | | Early Times Report
REASI, Jan 10: Muslim Cricket Club (MCC) Reasi registered a narrow win by 11 runs over United Cricket Club (UCC) Udhampur to advance in the ongoing Reasi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament 2012 at Sports Stadium, Reasi today.
After put into bat, MCC Reasi scored 132 for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Tifu was the top scorer with 41 runs including five fours and a six, while Nazeem Malik contributed 37 runs with 3 fours. Farooq also chipped in with 13 runs. Rajneesh claimed 2 wickets for UCC Udhampur, while Sunil, Ashwani, Jaidev and Rahul picked one wicket apiece.
UCC Udhampur, in reply managed to score 121 runs in the allotted overs, losing 7 wickets in the process, thus lost the match by narrow margin of 11 runs. Ram Dogra emerged as the top scorer with 38 runs including 5 boundaries, while Om Paul Sambyal contributed 30 runs with four boundaries. Rahul and Gourav chipped in with 18 and 13 runs respectively. For MCC Reasi, Happy and Rajat took 2 wickets each, while Nishu, Farooq and Nazeem claimed one wicket apiece. Nazeem was declared man of the match for his all-round performance.
