| The growth and development ,peace,prosperity and progress of a nation rests on the shoulders of her youth because the blood of the youth is filled with zeal, zest, strength ,passion to explore and experiment and bear the potential to face the worst and recover without much wastage of time. Youth hold vision to indulge and sacrifice without giving second thought for a genuine cause and does hardly believe in the concept of ifs and buts. The Latest success of Anna 's movement for approval and consideration of Lokpal Bill ,a long pending demand of the civil society ,owes to the larger inclination of the youth involvement in making his dreams a true reality. Even prior to this historic move, the relentless contributions of the youth in getting this nation free from the yoke of tyrannical colonial regime are one of the sheer examples. His/her idea is to innovate by leading from the front irrespective of the results or the outcomes of the laid endeavours. Youth aims to excel at all costs regardless of the area of the concern. Be it a social political, cultural or economical arena, youth is expected to plunge and share the experiences transcending the boundaries both within the state, national and international level for harmonious involvement of one and all for a common cause. When such combined efforts act together then fear dispels and results become different and awesome sometimes unbelievable as well.
But unfortunately, the youth of today in our nation is quite upset and is at the crossroads and sees no ray of hope in his future. The youth finds her future bleak owing to various factors i.e., Unemployment, increasing corruption, unabated perpetuation of reservations on one pretext or the other by the politicians to gain their own political mileage, overlooking of merit, undue favouritism and increasing appeasement policies, lackadaisical approach of the government in addressing the issues of the youth like recruitment, promotion and above all salary status. The youth of today is socially awakened of his/her rights at least if not devoted to the fundamental duties and loudly seeks answer that if by raising the perks of the politicians ,the nation is not hit by the economic crunches than why pay disparities in their pay enhancement is shown. These steps forces youth to strive in darkness and remain floating directionless. Analysis behind the study to explore causes behind growing unrest among the youth is the multiplied competition owing to the social and educational awakening cropped among female gender as well. There was a time when only male were inclined towards the job but with the passage of changing times now the female has equally rushing after the job. This growing inter competition has squeezed the vast opportunities of the male and changed the social scenario where the male youth feel to be isolated and the growth of her opposite gender is not becoming digestible to the male youth at all. Instead of striving more, the youth of today laments more in his inability to cope up with the multiplied pressure which is not a healthy sign for any democratic set up?
Among the other factors is speedily flow of materialistic glitter. In order to have an access to the modern gadgets for making life easier, it costs heavy investment , which an unemployed youth is barely able to afford it but one's desire to seek so keep on haunting him/her resulting in the end to get involved in the unlawful acts. The morality is lost and passion to have the facilities drives unnecessarily towards unrecognised acts creating problem for both the state and society simultaneously. With the changing times, the dress code, eating habits, entertainment tastes have altogether seen a sea change. The old traditional and conservative living life style have been given up and now the emerging scenario is quite unbelievable .The modern youth rely on the fast Junk food culture like Pizzas ,Pastries ,Cakes ,burgers ,noodles snacks ,soft drinks etc ,at the cost of nutritional meals like over relying over milk ,cheese ,green leafy vegetables and fruits etc. In terms of the dress code the lesser one may comment the better would it be. . Present trend in their terms is a sign of modernity but such modernity at the cost vulgarity and rampant nudity is at least unacceptable in the Indian social milieu where public has not grown civic to show respect to other's feeling unlike in the developed nation where there is least encroachment in one other's private life . The modern dress code has fumed many debates among the saner intellectuals owing to increased growth in crime especially harassment of women in the public places due to the alluring body covers. The generation gap has caused social dissensions affecting the familial structural set up badly leading to the evolution culture of nuclear family .The cultural significance has lost in the eyes of the modern youth and one barely shows keenness in the retention of the old museums, arte-facts but more interested in building the newer ones. The youth of modern India is more interested to go abroad rather than investing services in one's own nation .No doubt one has the right to be economically self sufficient but at the same time instead of sweating at home and going abroad is a matter of concern, which need to be arrested .
So many times, we have come across to learn that those who have gone abroad have been duped of their due shares and have to come back empty handed thus adding more miseries in their life. Speedy bucks have landed them more in trouble than addressing their plight. On the political front, they are extending their hands but only those who have safe economic backgrounds could survive while rest have been exploited by the those already in this mud .They used them, sapped their energies and thrown out of their own arena after safely landing at an unreachable distance by using the youth as a ladder thus adding more to their frustration etc. In gist ,the crying need of the hour is to address the core issues of the youth at familial ,societal and state level by all the concerning compartments individually as well as collectively so that unrest which have been affecting them to live in a mere isolation could be overcome and rich potential of the youth which is the backbone of a nation could be better harnessed without fail in the larger interest and promotion of healthy values projecting this nation in the world order. |
