Sham asks employees to strive for achieving new goals | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 10: Expressing gratitude to the employees of health department for extending whole hearted support to the Government and make Jammu and Kashmir number one in the primary healthcare in the country, the Minister for Health, Horticulture & Floriculture, Sham Lal Sharma asked them to renew their pledge to maintain the position. Addressing the doctors and para-medics at an impressive function organized by the J&K Medical Employees Federation in the premises of Directorate of Health Services, here today on the successful completion of three years of Government, the Minister said that securing the distinguished position was an honour for each employee of the health department and it became possible only with their hard work and sincere efforts . He said only Minister or any individual cannot succeed unless each employee contribute equally and work with dedication and commitment. The Government only issues directions and introduces schemes, but it is officers/officials who implement things on ground to give them a practical shape. He expressed happiness that during the past three years the department touched new heights with the overall support of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Central leadership, he added. Director Health, Dr. Madhu Khullar thanked the Minister for gracing the occasion and assured that the employees would continue to strive for ensuring better services to the patients. President JK Medical Employees Federation, Susheel Soodan also spoke on the occasion. He highlighted the demands of the employees and requested for their immediate redressal. He assured that employees of the department will continue to make their efforts for providing best services to the people in every nook and corner of the State. He also appreciated the gesture of Chief Minister and Health Minister for addressing most of the genuine demands of the employees. Senior doctors including, Mission Director, NRHM Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Controller Drugs Satish Gupta, Director Floriculture K.K.Sharma, Director Horticulture J.N. Sharma, all CMOs/Medical Superintendents/BMOs of Jammu division and para-medics were present on the occasion. Later, the Minister also convened a meeting of officers and reviewed the progress of various health schemes and physical targets thereof. He stressed upon the officers to achieve targets in the stipulated time frame. |
