| 4.5 quintals polythene bags seized | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Jan 10: In a joint operation with SMC, Revenue department and police, the J&K State Pollution Control Board seized about 4.5 quintals of polythene carry bags from Batamaloo area of Srinagar.
A fine of Rs 7500 was also realized from the erring traders in presence of a Magistrate. The SPCB team was led by district officer Srinagar. It is pertinent here that polythene carry bags are banned in Jammu and Kashmir. The anti-polythene drive would continue in coming days also. |
