30 passengers injured as bus falls in gorge in Bandipora

SRINAGAR, Jan 10 : Thirty passengers of a bus were injured, 3 of them critically, in a road mishap in north Kashmir district of Bandipora this morning.
The bus was on its way to Srinagar from Saidinar in district Bandipora when the driver lost control near Sumbal bridge over river Jehleum and fell into 25 feet deep gorge.
The police present near the bridge, army and civilians pulled out the passengers from the bus and shifted the injured to various hospitals. The Superindtendent of Police Bandipora, Bashir Ahmad Khan, said that 11 injured have been removed to Srinagar's SKIMS hospital at Bemina for treatment.
Other injured passengers were given first aid in the nearby Sumbal Hospital. The SP said that all the passengers have been rescued now.
