| HC stays transfer made at behest of MLA | | | EARLY TIMERS REPORT
Jammu, Jan10: Responding to petition filed by Ghulam Hussain who has been transferred allegedly on the behest of MLA Bhaderwah, J&K High Court Jammu Wing has directed the Director Education Jammu not to acted upon the transfer order issued on December 13, 2011 whereby the petitioner was transferred from Middle School Soti to lower High School Kharangal.
While directing the Director Education, Justice Hasnain Massodi J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Adv SS Ahmed appearing petitioner observe petitioner's case is that his brother of the petitioner was murder in the year 2007 allegedly with aid and abetment of one Abdul Rashid brother-in-law and public relation officer of MLA Bhaderwah. The transfer order according to the petitioner has been admittedly made at the behest of MLA Bhaderwah.
After considering the petition, Court disposed of the same with the direction to the Director School Education Jammu to give second look to transfer order issued on December 13, 2011 against the backdrop of above observations and having regard to the transfer policy in vogue. Court further directed the Director School Education that he shall take a decision in the matter by January 29, 2012, till then order impugned may not be acted upon. (JNF) |
