Govt following double standards in crisis mgt: Jitendra Singh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 10: Accusing the National Conference (NC) led government of double standards and regional discrimination even in dealing with protesters and crisis, the BJP State chief Spokesperson & National Executive Member Dr Jitendra Singh has pointed out that while the government was quick to initiate prosecution proceedings against the CISF cops charged with firing on people agitating for power at Boniyar in Kashmir, there is not a single word of condemnation against the police personnel who unleashed brutal force in Jammu yesterday against the PDD daily wage employees agitating for their legitimate right of confirmation of jobs. Dr Jitendra Singh said that power crisis in the wake of snowfall in the Kashmir valley is a manifestation of the helpless state of misgovernance into which the present government has landed itself but added that there is also severe power crisis in Jammu region. Dr Singh alleged that the NC led government is always defensive and apologetic while dealing with the grievances emanating from Kashmir valley but indifferent to the same grievances from Jammu or Ladakh regions. Is this because the government is apprehensive of the situation being exploited by Kashmir's separatist leadership, he asked and added, if this is true then this is a dangerous message for the entire country. Dr Jitendra Singh also took Congress to task and wanted to know why the Congress ministers kept mute instead of highlighting the problems of Jammu even though they had secured substantial mandate from the region. Has the Congress reconciled to a total sell out to NC Chief Minister under instructions from 10 Janpath, he asked.
