| ReT’s stir enters 5th day | | | Jammu Jan | 14
On fifth consecutive day of their stir, agitating Rehbar-e-Taleem Teacher’s again took out a protest demonstration and observed a dharna in the city here today.
The protesting ReT teacher’s assembled at the exhibition ground and marched towards Indira Chowk, where they staged a dharna for more than two hours.
Besides, shouting slogans and making speeches in support of their demands, the ReT teachers observed complete hunger strike.
The four hour long dharna remained peaceful and the protestors did not make any attempt to proceed towards the civil secretariat as today was holiday. Addressing the dharna, the speaker highlighted demands of ReT teachers and strongly criticized the pathetic attitude of the government towards their plight.
They said that instead of making anti-ReT Teachers statement on floor of the house, the ministers should come and meet the protestors to understand genuineness of their demands.
Those who addressed the protest dharna included Aijaz Hussain Shah President Poonch, Meena Sharma of Kathua, Gazi Ab Aziz, Mehraj Din Malik and Muneer Ahmed Khan.
