HM commander denies involvement in Delhi HC blast | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Jan 10: Local Hizb commander Shakir Hussain Sheikh alias Hafiz Umar alias Chota Hafiz, through a video message recorded at some unidentified location, has denied his involvement in the September 7, 2011, Delhi high court blast. Giving his message, the CD of which was available with Early Times, the Delhi high court blast accused Shakir carried a rifle. His name was written on its magazine. The CD is of 1.21 minute duration. He started his statement by identifying himself as HM commander. In his message, he claimed that he had been wrongly implicated in the case. "I have no connection with the blast," he claimed. Speaking on behalf of the Kishtwar unit of HM, he claimed, "I would like to tell the agencies that no one in HM here had any knowledge about the blast." He claimed that HM never allowed such type of activities. It is worthwhile to mention here that National Investigating Agency (NIA), probing the blast has announced Rs 10 lakh cash prize on Shakir. Amir Kamal alias Akram and Junaid Akram Malik @Junni also carry prizes of the same amount on their heads.
