Peer Hussain grieved over leopard attack on children

Jammu, Jan 14
State government has announced an award of Rs. 10,000 to a person, who would give exact information about the location of the leopard or would trap the animal, mauling children of Chatergul area.
This was stated by Minister of State for Power and Health, Peer Mohammad Hussain here today. Condoling the death of 8 year old Rayeesa D/O Ghulam Hassan R/O Halkhah in the yesterday attack. Mr. Hussain said that in view of this alarming situation, all the concerned agencies like Wild Life, Police, Paramilitary Forces, Forest Protection Force and Army has been directed to trap the animal immediately and ensure the safety and security of the general masses of the area.
Referring to yesterday’s police action against peaceful protestors of Chatergul, Mr. Hussain assured that the police personnel, whosoever is found involved in dealing unlawfully, shall be taken to task and action under rules shall be initiated against them.
However, Mr. Hussain appealed people to cooperate with the governmental agencies engaged in trapping the wild animal.
