| Symposium cum Exhibition held at Rajiv Gandhi College | | |  early times report
Kathua, Jan 11: Symposium cum Exhibition was organized by Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College of Education, Kathua in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Preventive & Control Society ,NACO & District Health Society, Kathua.
The function started with the lightening of the traditional lamp and the welcome song by a group of B.Ed students.Speaking on the occasion, Deepika Thakur, Dy. Director IEC shared her valuable experiences regarding HIV +ve cases, e.g., a very healthy looking person can be HIV +ve. Dr. Rakesh Khajuria, Project Director J&K AIDS Society, Chief Guest on the occasion, elaborated the various counseling and treatment facilities available in the AIDS control centres within the state. Dr. R.K. Chopra, CMO Kathua, Guest of Honour appreciated the efforts of the management, faculty and students of Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College of Education, Kathua in creating awareness about AIDS.A Symposium on the topic "Know AIDS To No AIDS" was also organized in which 11 students participated.
. Isha Sharma ,Navinta Singh and Priyanka Jasrotia bagged 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes respectively.
A Poster making competition was also organized in which 28 students of the college participated. Bharti Jasrotia, Sourabh Sharma, and Anshul Gupta bagged 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes.
