| Omar says he feels happy over PDP remarks | | 'I feel nervous, uneasy when they remain silent' | | ET Report
JAMMU, Jan 11: The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah feels happy when opposition and his party's rival PDP speaks against him and passes 'negative' comments on his style of governance. That is what he stated while speaking to media on a question asking his response over remarks made the other day by PDP president Mehbooba Mufti. Omar said he feels uncomfortable and nervous when PDP leadership assumes 'silence'.
The Chief Minister said this with particular reference to PDP president Mehbooba Mufti's observation on Tuesday in Srinagar in which she described NC led coalition as headless chicken. In what could be seen as his usual habit of hitting back and responding with statements loaded with sarcasm Omar said they (PDP leadership) uses such language and vocabulary out of frustration and feel provoked by the good work of the government.
What was more satirical and sarcastic was the tone of the Chief Minister when he said , " I do not feel irked by their comments…. when PDP leaders use such words I feel happy and satisfied for I know it is sheer frustration that makes them speak so …….instead I feel happy but when they maintain silence I get nervous and uneasy for I know they are then happy and satisfied….so I take the reverse strategy I try to provoke them more to push them into a state of more desperation and frustration. Omar said this while speaking to media on the sidelines of a rally organized at Parade Ground here today.
"Main Unki Khamoshi Se Ghabrata Hoon….Jab Voh Bolna Shuru Kartay Hain To Main Khush Hota Hoon …….Iska Matlab Hota Hai Ki Voh Ghabra Gayey Hain…..( I feel uneasy when they turn silent…..when they start such expressions I feel normal because that means they are desperate and frustrated to say something), the Chief Minister said in somewhat sarcastic tone. |
