Workshop on cultural affairs inaugurated | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, Jan 12: A 15-days workshop aided by Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of India on "Enhancing and Nurturing Hidden Talents among the Students", was inaugurated at Govt. General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi today which was followed by a colorful program on Lohri. On this occasion Veena Pandita, principal of the college welcomed Vishal Kathpal, Brahma Swaroop and Shadab Khan, renowned artists of national repute. She emphasized upon the students to explore their potential to the utmost capacity so that they may give optimum yield in the field of art and culture. She also emphasized that to live a creative life, we must overcome the fear of being wrong. While interacting with the students, Vishal Kathpal and Shadab Khan, the key resource persons impressed upon the modus operandi of the workshop. Brahma Swaroop, guest of honour read an impressive poem on the occasion. Chander Mohan, convener of the college cultural committee spoke at length of such programmes and their role in enhancing and extracting the talent of the students for their personality Development. Rajesh Ajnabi, president of Savrang Kala Sangam, Reasi presented the vote of thanks. This was followed by a colorful programme of Lohri, celebrated by the students of the college in the campus ground. |
