| Vented Causeway over Mandal Nallah costing Rs. 2.43 crore nearing completion: Charak | | | JAMMU, Jan 14 Minister for Roads and Building Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak today instructed the JKPCC officers to speed up the construction work of 153 meter long Vented Causeway span bridge being constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.43 crores on Mandal Nallha of Purmandal Block of Jammu district. The Minister gave the instructions to concerned authorities during his visit on the construction site of the causeway and to complete the bridge as soon as possible so that the people of the area get benefited. The minister was informed that causeway was almost completed and the work on approach roads is in progress and would be completed in first week of February 2007. On the occasion Minister said on completion of this ambitious project would connect Utarwani and Puramandal areas which have religious importance and added this would also help pilgrims who come from different parts of the Jammu and neighboring states particularly from Punjab to visit ancient Shiv Mandir at Purmandal. He said the people of area are facing lot of problems during the monsoon season and remain disconnected from rest of the country. The Minister was accompanied by team of officers of JKPCC. |
