| People demand probe into blacktopping of PG college road | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Jan 12: Locals of Kheora, Chowdhary nar and other adjoining areas of Rajouri today demanded probe into the work of blacktopping over the busy Chowdary nar- PG college road.
They said that after a long demand of locals and students of the area, the department of PMGSY started to blacktop this road but just within three weeks of completion of work, the road has again got damaged and now vehicle operators and localsare suffering badly.
Talking to Early Times, some locals of Kheora and adjoining Chowdary nar area said that they were facing a lot of problems from past many years and after hectic efforts, the black topping over the road was started.
With the initiation of this work, locals were delighted that now they will get a smooth, dust free and plain road but their expectations dashed with the low quality work of PMGSY.
Demanding a probe into the work, a local Dimple Sharma said that higher authorities should examine that how much funds were sanctioned for blacktopping and what was the real expenditure to execute the work. |
