PIL on RTI, Juvenile Courts disposed off favourably

JAMMU, Jan 12: In a meeting of Vichar Kranti Manch International (VKMI) chaired by its President SK Jain has expressed sense of gratitude to Advocate Rahul Pant for successfully advocating free of cost a PIL filed by VKMI in the High Court (CMP No. 1987/2011 in OWPN 1237/2010).The petition was made to state government to take all requisite measures to constitute RTI Commission, Accountability Commission and Juvenile Courts and make these bodies practically functional on ground by appointing Chief Commissioners, Commissioners, other staff and infrastr uctural facilities etc. as required under these acts.
All members were in full praise for the State government in general and Chief Secretary in particular for their positive attitude and to excellent co-operation in the best interest of the public and initiative taken to provide clean, transparent and efficient governance.
