PHE employees' protest in support of their demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 12: Hundreds of PHE employees and daily rated workers under the banner of PHE Workers Welfare Association assembled here in Jammu at PRE Chief Engineer Complex, B.C. Road, Jammu to holds massive demonstration in support of their pending demands. Raising slogans against PRE authority which has failed to release their 4 to 11 months wages and were stressing hard upon the PHE authority to disburse the wages of all sorts of workers before 5th of every month regularly so that they might be able to feed their dependents comfortably. The employees were further demanding their regularization after 7 years consecutive service, consideration of all the left out need/CP/DRW workers whom lists are still lying pending in the office of PRE administrative department and others to be given benefit as per SRO-59 and dependents of deceased to be engaged against the post of workers who died in harness etc. While addressing the protest Bakshi Singh provincial President of the association said the low paid workers who have been performing their duties day and night but have not been paid their wages resulting that their families have reached on the verge of starvation and our association will continue its struggle for the protection of the right of these poor workers. Subhash Verma Provincial General Secretary of the association, Rattan Doshi, Surinder Kumar, Ram Labhaya, Swaran Singh, Ram Lal Sharma, Vijay Singh, Chuni Lal, Lal Chand, Puran Chand, Varun Dogra, Manzoor Ali, Ram Parkash, Romesh Singh and Vijant Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
