| Tanker driver dies in road mishap | | | JAMMU, Jan 13: A tanker driver was today killed in a road accident on the national highway near Patnitop, about 110 km from here.
Police sources said due to slippery road conditions at Patnitop, tanker driver Lakhvinder Singh came out of his vehicle and tried to keep a wooden block under the tyre of another tanker. The block slipped and the tanker ran over him, resulting in his instant death, the sources added.
The dead was identified as Lakhvinder Singh, son of Bachan Singh of Moga, Punjab.
Police had registered a case in this connection. |
