Barnai, Dharmal residents allege grabbing of state land

JAMMU, Jan 13: The residents of Barnai and Dhamal today alleged that efforts are being made to grab state land in Barnai to benefit a banquet hall. A delegation of the Barnai and Dharmal residents, today, alleged that efforts are being made to grab 9 kanals and 12 marlas of land under Khasra No. 460 and 15 kanals and 15 marlas under Khasra No. 662 in Barnai to benefit a banquet hall."We have requested the district administration and concerned authorities to look into the matter and immediately stop the encroachment on State land as this land could be converted into a park and used by local residents for common purposes as there is no other land available for my community programmes". They alleged that constructions have been going on in total disregard to the comforts of the neighbours and to authority came forward to listen hundreds of residents around this banquet hall.
