| Manmohan meets Chinese Premier Jiabao | | |
Jan 14 : Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Sunday met Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit.
Both the leaders discussed about the bilateral cooperation and the meeting has been termed as a "courtesy meeting".
Special representatives of both the countries will be meeting next week to discuss the boundary issue, the negotiations on which has been continuing since 2003.
On Saturday, National Security Adviser M K Narayan had said that the resolution on the border talks with China, "is bound to take time", since it involves people inhabiting the area and the territory.
He will be meeting his Chinese Special Representative on the border talks Dai Bingguo next week in Delhi for another round of talk.
In 2003 India and China had decided to appoint special representatives on either side to survey the framework for settlement of the boundary question.
Such an agreed framework was to provide a basis for the delineation and demarcation of the Indo-China boundary to be subsequently undertaken by civil and military officials and surveyors of the two sides. However, no timeframe had been fixed for the final settlement of the boundary question
