One year imprisonment to house-servant in theft case | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 13: Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity Jammu has awarded one year imprisonment and fine Rs 1000/- to house servant resident of Lalitpur Madya Pradesh who was involved in a theft at the house of his master. Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity Jammu Balbir Lal Jaswal after hearing Senior PO Anil Dev Jamwal for the state observed that the object of the criminal jurisprudence is not merely to the award the punishments. Court awarded on year imprisonment and fine Rs 1000/- to Hanumant Singh s/o Veer Singh r/o Kayan Tehsil & District Lalitpur MP who was involved in a theft at the house of his master Rakesh Gupta r/o Trikuta Nagar Jammu. According to the police case Rakesh Gupta r/o Trikuta Nagar Jammu submitted a written application in the police station Bahu Fort in which he submitted that he along with other family members went to one of their relative on May 4, 2011, their servant Hanumant was at Home, when they returned saw the locker of Almirah was broken but Hanumant was not present. The cash amount of Rs 2.75 lacs and golden ornaments were missing on this report police registered a case and started investigation and accused was arrested and during investigation the accused disclosed that he had committed theft in the house of his master reason behind to commit the theft was not payment of salary and grant leave.
