Chinar Corps provides relief to people
1/14/2012 11:13:49 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Jan 14: With the severe winter conditions prevailing in the Kashmir Valley, the Chinar Corps has ensured re-invigorated support operations to people in conjunction with the state administration.
According to a defence communiqué mobile and foot borne medical teams have been visiting far flung areas to provide medical relief to the needy people.
"In addition, Army equipment such as recovery vehicles and snow clearing machines have been deployed in the remote and rural areas, as also along the National Highway. While the Awam has openly expressed its appreciation for the Army's efforts the Army in turn would like to reassure them that they should continue to approach its bases and detachments for any emergency support," the statement said.
"All units have been directed to ensure fullest support to the Awam, especially in emergencies. Innovative support like deployment of generator sets at civil medical facilities and charging equipment for mobile telephones will continue as long as the Awam requires the same," it added.
