Police remand granted to Shantu in 'Supari Killing Case'

Jammu, Jan 14: 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu today in a much publicized Supari (Hired) Killing case in which an FIR has been lodged in the P/S channi Himmat Jammu has granted three days police custody of Surinder Singh @ Shantu.
2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Subash C Gupta responding to application is filed by SHO P S Channi Himmat along with APP seeking for extension of police custody of accused Surinder Singh @ Shantu, the Court after hearing APP KA Qazi for the state considered the prayer of the P/S Channi Himmat and granted three days custody.. It is further contented in the application that accused was earlier for remanded for five days as per the court order dated January 9, 2012 and further added in the application earlier remand period is going to be expired today. Police has asked the remand of accused in a case registered against FIR No 164/2010 U/Ss 307/34/120-B RPC r/w section 3/25 Arms Act for five days. --- (JNF)
