| 'Select site for college in Thathri' | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan14: All Jammu &Kashmir Movement for Peace and Justice Block Thathri had appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Minister for higher Education A.G. Malik to select the site of the college sanctioned for Tehsil Thathri at some central place. According to the AJKMPJ the place should be accessible to all the students of the remote rural areas of the Tehsil who constitute nearly 80% of the of student population. They stated that in Joura Khurd there is available a stretch of government land more than 60 kanals in measurement and more than 50 kanals adjoining private land is also easily so Joura Khurd would be the most suitable place also it has has been visited & praised by Ex. Chief Minister, Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad when in 2009 he was on tour to the area.They further said that those people who suggest some other sites for the college are ignoring some important facts which are to be observed before selecting the site. Those who were present at the occasion include Bisher Ahmed Batt, Ramtulla Batt, Ashok Kumar, Subash Chander, Surjeet Singh, Kulwant Singh , Nazir Ahmed besides other.
