JAMMU, Jan 14: Vidya Peeth Public Higher Secondary School Chogan Slathian, Jammu has celebrated its 68th Annual Day. In this connection, a function was organized by the school here at school premises. D C Raina former Advocate General was the chief guest while Manager of the school Capt Dewan Singh, vice chairman Shakuntaia Seth, Principal of the school Vipin Kumar Sharma were also present on the occasion. The function started with the lightening of traditional lamp by the dignitaries.
The students of the school presented an excellent cultural programmes including 'Saravati Vandana', Welcome song by tiny tots, solo dance by Triveni Kaul, group song 'Mil Gaye Jo Hamare Kadam Se Kadam', dance on Ye Mera Desh Rangeela', Giddha and dogri dance-Bidai.
Principal of the school Vipin Kumar Sharma presented annual report of the school and said that Vani Mahajan of class XIth secured 7th position in state merit list and four students of class Xth secured more than 90% marks. He added that in class VIIIth Board Examination also 4 students secured more than 90% marks. Besides, Akshit Ghai of class VIIIth participated in Mavithai at International Level in Nepal.
Principal also presented a detailed report on sport, co-curricular and extra curriculum activities.The Chief Guest honoured the students secured more than 90% marks which included Vani Mahajan, Ashwarya Mahajan, Ujjawal Sumbiy, Aashna Gupta, Pulkit Mahajan, Silky Mahajan, Sachin Bagal, Kush, Supreet, Ajay Sudan, Nigibh Sharma, Rupali Jamwal, Vishruti Gupta, Arushi Kumari, Shikha Bhatt, Bhanu Bakshi, Vani Sharma, Priyanka, Twinkle Verma, Abhimanyu, Ashish Dogra, Anila Jamwal, Madhav, Sakshi Dhar, Chamandeep Kaur, Vishwani Jamwal, Pooja Kapur, Vishesh Sajgotra, Dheeraj Sharma, Manav Arora, Manik, Mukul, Himani Sharma, Koshika, Nandita, Purbi, Ayush Mahajan, Ridhima Aryan, Prachi Tiwari, Gurnoor, Swatika, Vishabjeet, Mehul, Ishika, Sourav, Lakshita, Tisha, Vanshika, Ayushi Puri, Dhruv Gupta, Harsh Magotra, Piyush, Tejasvini, Ayush Gupta, Mannat, Shagun, Sneha, Vanshika Charak, Molishka, Daksh, Sameer Wazir, Hardik Mahajan, Krish, Nateshwar, Neha Sharma, Piyush Sharma, Raghav Gupta, Saniya, Shivam Sharma, Vinty Gandral, Suhani Sharma, Vanshika, Gaurav, Shivalika, Sonia and Suhani Puri. Chief Guest also honoured the students for extra curricular and sports activities. The other valuable guests attended the function were Sureshtha Dogra (Principal G.G.H.S.S, Mubarak Mandi), Yogesh Khosla (Principal M.H.A.C.S.
