Shiv Sevaks to hold series of programmes on Maha Shivratri

JAMMU, Jan 14: Like every year this year also Shiv Sevaks will celebrate the Maha Shivratri functions with traditional fervour and gaiety.
In a statement issued here today, in connection with the celebrations of Maha Shivratri the Shiv-Baraat (Jhankis) would be taken out on February 18. The procession would start from Ranbireshwar temple Parade and while going through different Bazaars of Jammu city like Shalamar Road, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazar, Chowk Chabutra, Panjtirthi, Mubarak Mandi, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazar, will culminate at the same venue.
Thereafter on February 20, Mahashivratri function will be performed at Ranbireshwar Temple with participation of thousands people.
On February 25 Bhajan Sandhya programme will be celebrated like previous years with special prizes distribution amongst the best participants, Bazar Association Presidents, Best Jhankis, students and children. The celebration will conclude with the holding of Vishaal Bhandara on February 26 in the Ranbireshwar Temple premises in which all the people of Jammu are invited to have Parshad of Lord Shiva's marriage.
