| PDD daily wagers continue to hold protest demonstrations, dharna | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 14: Continuing their stir for redressal of their 'legitimate and just demands', All Daily Wagers Union, PDD today held demonstrations and rallies to highlight their grievances.They appealed to Government and the departmental authorities to immediately solve the demands of the daily wagers. Organizing a huge protest rally at Chief Engineer, Electrical Maintainance & RE Wing, Jammu's office the leaders of the daily wagers Union stress for demands and gave ultimatum to the Government that in case their demands are not met up till February 2 a massive agitation shall take place henceforth with active participation of PDD Employees Co-ordination Committee consisting of J&K Lineman Union, PEEU, J&K Electricity Employees and Workers Federation and ITI Diploma Holders Union, POD.
The daily wagers union shall not own any statement given in the Print, Electronic Media by any union other than the Co-ordination Committee and appeal all daily wagers not to fall into the prey of any Union leaders other than the Co-ordination Committee, said Kulbir Singh, Provincial President Daily Wagers Union.
Meanwhile, PDD daily wagers have announced to suspend their hunger strike upto February 2. |
