VAP organises health awareness programmes

JAMMU, Jan 14: On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti being observed as 'Vishaw Mangal Diwas' by Vishwa Ayurved Parishad (VAP), an interactive Health Awareness programme was organized at New Era School, Sarwal, Jammu. Dr. Jitender Udhampuri was the Chief Guest on the occasion which was presided over by Usha Sharma, Vice Principal. The function started with the welcome address of Dr. Sujata Sathu who also explained the role of Asans and Pranayam as tools of Physical fitness and control of Mind and prevention of diseases like diabetes, High Blood Pressure obesity, insomnia, heart disease etc. Dr. Arun Jandial while speaking on the concept of 'Swasth Vritt' (personal Hygiene) laid stress on following the seasonal and daily regimens laid in the Ayurvedic texts to prevent various life style diseases.
