| Jan heads post-snowfall rescue committees in Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 14: In order to stock of post-snowfall situation in Poonch Assembly Constituency, Member Legislative Assembly Ajaz Ahmed Jan has constituted a team of doctors, PHE, PWD, PDD and CAPD officials to hold extensive tour in far flung areas of Mandi and Loran areas to provide on spot help to the needy people.
Headed by MLA Jan, the team comprised of Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Tehsildar Mandi, Tehsildar Poonch, Block Medical Officer Mandi, Block Development Officer, Assistant Executive Engineer R&B, Assistant Executive Engineer PHE, Assistant Executive Engineer PDD and officials of CAPD to take stock of overall situation of the area.
During its extensive tour the team provided on the spot help to people, who had to suffer due to snowfall. The team of doctors checked the patients in far-flung areas and also provide free medicines to the needy people. MLA also took stock of the ration, roads, power scenario and water supply in these areas. He directed the officials to restore all essential things in the area.
Praising administration and GREF, MLA said that he had managed a Snow Cutter Machine in the area by requesting Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the same has made the task of opening all roads easy during snowfall. |
