BCC humbles RCC by 13 runs

Bandral Cricket Club mauled Rajput Cricket Club by 13 runs in a keen contest in the ongoing Independence Cup Cricket Tournament being played at Sarore here today. BCC won the toss and decided to bat first. They accumulated 155/7 in the stipulated 20 overs. Karan was the top scorer with 62 comprised of 7 hits to the fence. He really played some excellent drives to the cover fence. Ajay and Raju also contributed useful 22 and 20 runs respectively. Vinay also chipped in with 15 runs in quick time as well. For RCC, Rajat bowled exceptionally well to scalp 4 wickets while Shekhar and Dilawar took 2 and 1 wicket respectively.
In reply, RCC was bundled out for 142 runs in 18.3 overs. Shekhar was the top scorer with 52 runs who played a fighting knock with some splendid drives to the square fence. Namit and Rajat also played well for their knocks of 25 and 22 runs respectively. For BCC, Ajay bowled splendidly to complete 5 wicket haul followed by Sadiq and Kuldeep who snared 2 wickets a piece. Ajay for his brilliant all round performance was declared the Man of the Match.
