| ACC lifts farewell 2011 cricket trophy | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Jan 14: Amateur Cricket Club(ACC), Udhampur clinched champion trophy in the final cricket match by defeating Jupiter Cricket Club, Udhampur by three runs in Cricket Tournament Farewell 2011 cup at Subash Stadium, Udhampur here today. The tournament was organized by Elite Cricket Club Udhampur. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur, Shakeel Ahmed Beig was the chief guest on the occasion.
The chief guest complimented the players of final match for exhibiting their sports talent in the tournament and hoped that the budding cricket players of the district would achieve new heights at state, national and international level in near future. The chief guest also distributed prizes to the winning teams and also felicitated the individual players for their extra ordinary performance during the tournament.
Tarun of ACC was declared as Man of the Match while as Vishal of ECC was given Man of the Series award. Among others, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Udhampur, veteran sports persons and members of organizing club were present on the occasion. |
