PDP demands adequate compensation for fire victims of Paddar | | | Early Times Report JAMMU , Jan 14 : Expressing deep shock over death of four members of the family in a devastating fire at Qaddal Mohalla in Ligri area of Paddar block of Kishtwar district, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has demanded adequate compensation for the victims and proper rehabilitation for those who have also their shelters in the fire. In a joint statement issued , PDP leaders said that demanded an ex-gratia relief to the tune of Rs 10 lakh for each deceased and adequate proper health facilities for other who were injured in the fire. They said that in his severe cold a number of families of have lost their shelters so authorities should take some emergent steps and shift them to the near by villages to protect these helpless people from the cold. PDP leaders asked the authorities to depute a high level team at the spot to start the rescue operation on war footing zone so as to provide some relief to the victims.PDP expressed deep shock over the incident in which Chamail Singh, his wife Sunita Devi, son and daughter have burnt while his another daughter Urmilla Devi has received serious burn injuries. Signatories of the statement are Sayed Asgar Ali, MLC, Shakir Sadiqui, Munshi Ghulam Hassan, Rayaz Zarger, Ashok Sharma, Radha Krishan, Ishfaq Waza and Joginder Mahajan. |
