| Gear up efforts in solving people's problems: Bhalla to officers | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 14: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla has asked the executing agency to put their all out efforts in completing all the ongoing construction work of playfield including ground levelling well before the ensuing Republic Day celebrations at Bahu Fort so that the people of the areas could celebrate their National event at their door step stadium, for which Government has earmarked Rs 63 lakh.
This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the people after inspecting the development works of the playfield at Bahu Fort, here today.
Bhalla called upon the people not to put debris on road side , adding that 'it is duty of every citizen to make their surrounding areas hygienic and pollution free. He said such type of practices not only providing them healthy atmosphere but also give good impact who will visit to the area.
Reiterating coalition Govern ment's commitment to provide better civic amenities to the people, the Minister said that massive development activities have been launched across the state to ensure safe drinking water, better sewerage, lanes and drains and hygiene surroundings in every nook and corner of the state. He said that the provision for road connectivity, accessibility to education and health services are the first thrust areas of the government. For improving the drinking water facilities in Rampura and Nai Basti, Bhalla informed that Government has prepared a plan of Rs 2.5 crore for digging of deep drill tube at Vijay Park including laying of water supply pipes in uncovered areas. He said the work on the project could be started soon after completing the tendering formalities. |
