| Mangat inaugurates urban health centre at Sidhra | | | Jammu, Jan 15 Minister for Health and Medical Education Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma today inaugurated Urban Health Center established under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) Sidhra near Jammu. Speaking on this occasion Mr. Sharma said that initially this health center will function from 10 to 4 pm with two doctors, two pharmacist and one female health multi- purpose worker and after upgradation of required infrastructure the center will provide 24 hour medicare service to the people. He said under NRHM seven health centers are to be setup in and around Jammu to cater the growing need of health care facilities of the people. He said one such health center has already been opened at Talab Tillo recently. Minister said that Government is keen to upgrade medicare facilities for the people especially in far flung and remote areas of the state. He said work on two super speciality hospital one each at Jammu and Srinagar will start soon for which funds have been received and land acquired near Government Medical College Jammu. He said people interested to invest in health sector would be encouraged with special incentives including free land etc. Chairman Delimitation Committee Mr. S. S. Bloeria, Corporator Mrs. Rani Baloria, Director Health Services Dr. Jasbir Singh, Project Director NRHM, Dr. Rakesh Khajuria, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Shaheed Mughal, team of doctors and prominent citizens attended the function. |
