| Disconnection of power to CM's residence | | VKMI lauds Omar's gesture | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 14: Vichar Kranti Manch International (VKMI) has welcomed the fine gesture of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to order the Power Development Department (PDD) authorities to disconnect power supply to his official residence and other VIP areas and not to give preferential treatment in supplying electricity to his and VIP areas when power supply to other parts of the valley was disrupted as a result of recent snowfall.
Founder VKMI Dr RR Khajuria said that Manch stands for politicians with such noble thoughts and deeds which are not politically motivated gimmicks and hopes that solitary incidence of electric supply shall hold good for all other matters/services for the public.
He said that VKMI trusts that this worth- emulating example of the CM shall inspire and morally compel all his cabinet colleagues and bureaucrats to follow the suit in their working and attitude towards VIP'S Vs Aam Aadmi in respect of delivery of services because this is only way to provide clean, transparent and efficient governance and strengthening democracy. |
