| DDC Doda visits Dessa, supervised road restoration, inspected health centres and food stores | | | Early Times Report
DODA, Jan 15: District Development Commissioner, Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan today visited Dessa region to supervise and step up the restoration of essential public supplies that have been disrupted by the heavy snowfall of the season in the region.
SSP Doda Arif Rishu, Chief Planning Officer, Doda Dr. Yassir Balwan, XEn PDD Jameel, XEn PWD (R&B) Tickoo, TSO Doda Farooq Ahmed besides various other District and Sectoral Officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
DDC reviewed the post-snow situation in area and convened a public darbar at Mehchar and also interacted with the public at Bhagwah, Bemina, Thanote and Gowari and passed on onspot directions to the concerned officers for redressal of various problems faced by the people due to the heavy snow fall of the season and inspected ration availability in the various food stores of the area.
While interacting with the public of the area, DDC said that all the facilities which include electricity, drinking water, road connectivity and others are being restored on war footing basis for the benefit of the public of the region. He directed the concerned officers to restore the road connectivity to the area within two days positively besides directed CA & PD Department Doda to dump adequate stock of ration in the Dessa region to meet any situation. He also supervised the snow and mud slide clearance of Doda-Dessa and other link roads. DDC also directed XEn PDD Doda to speed up the repair and restoration work of power supply in the area.
DDC directed the concerned District Officers to redouble efforts in mitigating the difficulties of people and meet their requirements promptly. He also inspected PHC Bhagwah and enquired about the availability of the medicines and punctuality of the fraternity and directed them provide best possible medicare to the people.
Later, DDC Doda made a surprise inspection of the District Hospital Doda and interacted with the patients and enquired about the facilities being provided to them. |
