| Senior Congress leaders call on Azad | | |

Senior Congress leaders which include General Secretaries J&K PCC Mr. Abdul Majid Padaroo and Mr. Mohammad Anwar, District PCC President Anantnag and Budgam Mr. Gulzar Ahmed Wani and Mr. Zahid Hussain and Secretaries Mr. Ab. Qayoom and Mr. Faqir Mohammad Khan called on Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad here the other day and apprised him about the demands and problems confronting to the people of far-off and hilly areas of their respective districts.
The leaders hailed the historical steps taken by the Azad led government for the over all development of the state especially for the socio-economic transformation of remote and hilly areas. They also appreciated the initiatives taken for eradication of corruption and providing good governance to the people and said that posting of ADDC’s in all districts have accelerated the execution of standard developmental projects throughout the state.
The leaders assured their hole hearted support to the Chief Minister for realizing the dream of Khushal Jammu and Kashmir.
The demands projected by leaders include construction and upgradation of roads, augmentation of PHE schemes, upgradation of health care facilities, providing of uninterrupted power supply in far-flung and Kandi areas, besides prayed for relief to farmers whose crops were damaged due to the floods and draught during last Kharief season.
The Chief Minister gave patient hearing to the leaders and said that his government is endeavoring to uplift the socio-economic condition of people. |
