Injured hunter succumbs to injuries at GMC&H

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Jan 15: The person who received bullet injuries while hunting with friends in forest area of Tanda, Akhnoor on Thursday last, succumbed to injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) today.
Meanwhile, with the death of the injured hunter, Akhnoor police registered a case under section 302 RPC and has started manhunt to arrest his other associates. Police is also interrogating one of his associates identified as Kamal Singh of Tanda, to know the whereabouts of other absconders.
Pertinent to mention here that Bittu Kumar son of Puran Chand of Tanda went for hunting with his friends, reportedly eight in number, in a nearby forest area of Tanda Akhnoor, about 35 kilometres away from main township of Jammu Thursday afternoon.
The victim received a gun shot when a fire arm his friend's gun went off, reportedly accidentally, while climbing a tree. The injured was taken to GMC&H where he underwent emergency surgery, police sources said.
