Health Minister to move court on deliberate leak to media? | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 15: State Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma is mulling to move court to seek a probe into the leakage of an official document to the media following which the State government recently transferred Anand Jain SSP (Jammu) and also ordered an enquiry to be carried out by State Home Commissioner, B.R. Sharma. Sources close to the Minister have told Early Times that the Minister is not satisfied with the transfer of the officers he believes were responsible for leaking the official communication to the media. "The Minister has demanded punitive action against the police officers responsible for the deliberate media leak which he thinks is part of a well knit plan to malign the Congress ministers in the coalition government," sources said. The same sources said the Minister has agitated the matter before Professor Saif-ud-Din Soz, president of the State Congress Party maintaining that unless action is taken against the involved police officers others might get encouraged to malign the ministers for unjustified reasons. The Minister has reportedly told the Party higher ups that he would be moving the court to have the matter probed and responsibility fixed for the deliberate leak of an official communication. The minister has demanded punitive action against those who were responsible for leaking the document. The minister, according to sources close to him, has said he is not satisfied with the transfer of the officers who he believes must face disciplinary action for their deliberate act to leak the communication to media in order to embarrass the minister. |
