Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 15: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and social activist Rajesh Bhat today held a meeting with the inmates of TRT Purkhoo and discussed the issues confronting the community thoroughly.
At the end of long meeting, Bhat expressed his disgust at the government both at the centre and in the states. He said that instead of taking up the issues with the authorities at various levels in the state and at the Centre, the outcome is inhumane, times-consuming, diplomat, political and exploitive. Praising the community for maintaining the civilization, he termed the attitude of the authorities unfortunate.
He said that during the past 20 years, the government has failed to rehabilitate the community permanently and provide it what is its right under the constitution. He said that it is duty of the government to deal with such national and international issues.
He said that it is the primary responsibility of the government to provide equal and civilized livelihood to all the state subjects.
Rajesh Bhat said that the government has also failed to fulfill the Employment package announced by the Prime Minister. Referring to the statement made by Minister of State for Home in the parliament, Bhat said that only 1438 KP youths have so far been provided employment in the valley that too after taking cumbersome and complicated undertakings from them. He said why there are two parameters for the employees in the state. He questioned the government that isn't the community state subject of the state, if yes, why this double standard. He demanded immediate fulfillment of the remaining posts without any conditions and further said that the government should take care of the old age people, who are physically and psychologically chronically sick and need advanced treatment. Rajesh Bhat asked the people to remain active and in the coming days strengthen Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) on its merits.
